The Fundamental classes provide the crews for "fully supported" D&P productions. As a result the Winter and Spring "Fundy" classes start early and end early. Also, because of this special problem, the class will start by teaching basic skills in reading, hanging, focusing and cabling a light plot; after these skills are established the class will continue with basic electricity, qualities and functions of light, color theory and system layout (signal flow). The subsequent lectures will all be based on the specific knowledge of the instrumentation in the NCSA Electric Shop inventory and the Power Formula.
First crew call for the class (yes, the entire class) will be Tuesday September 21, 2004 in the Thrust.
