Minneapolis

My Home

Jen and I met here in Minneapolis at Britt's Pub on Niccolet Mall and 11th street.  Our mutual friend, Mike Cornell, introduced us.  I remember that Jen's laugh made me smile and my heart filled with joy.  I liked her right away.  We spoke a little and parted company that night, but saw one another again that Thursday at Rock Bottom.  All my friends thought she was most attractive and interesting.  By the end of the night, we had developed an interest in one another that comes from within and we agreed that we must get together again.  We did meet again at Kirin's Pub on Saturday.  We spoke well into the night and were disappointed to part company.  I had to leave the next day to continue on my tour of Spirit and silently we were both afraid we would never see the other again.

Jen and I spoke on the phone very often after that, but it was not until December 6 that I was able to fly to Minneapolis from Detroit to visit with her and go out on our first date.  It was a joyous weekend that I will never forget.  We were overwhelmed by how much we enjoyed each others company.  We decided to meet again in DC for Christmas.  I was overjoyed.

That was the beginning and I hope for the end to never arrive.
